SPECIALIZATION & ENTERPRISE

About Course

Module 5, Specialization & Enterprise, is the capstone specialization module of the Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Management and Strategic Planning. Where earlier modules built a foundation in general management theory, organizational behaviour, finance, and strategy formulation, this module turns attention to two capability areas that determine whether a manager can actually convert strategic intent into organizational results: the ability to create new value through entrepreneurial and venturing activity, and the ability to communicate, influence, and manage people effectively as a practising manager.

The module is organized into two units. Unit 1, Entrepreneurship & Corporate Venturing, develops the learner’s understanding of entrepreneurship as both an independent career path and a strategic capability that established organizations must cultivate to remain competitive. Unit 2, Communication & Managerial Skills Lab, is a practice-oriented unit that equips learners with the interpersonal, written, oral, negotiation, and conflict-management competencies that underpin effective managerial performance.
