Strategic Management & Strategic Planning Core
About Course
The Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Corporate Management and Strategic Planning offered by the Chartered Institute of Corporate Management and Strategic Planning is designed to equip practising managers, executives, and aspiring strategists with the conceptual grounding, analytical tools, and applied competencies required to formulate, plan, implement, and evaluate strategy within complex organisational environments. The programme integrates classical and contemporary strategic management theory with practical planning methodologies, corporate finance, and operations strategy, thereby producing graduates who are equally competent in strategic thought and operational execution.
The curriculum is organised into three interlocking modules that together constitute the strategic management and strategic planning core of the Institute’s postgraduate curriculum. Each module has been constructed to build cumulatively on the preceding one: Module 1 establishes the theoretical and analytical foundations of strategic management; Module 2 translates strategic intent into a disciplined planning process; and Module 3 extends strategic thinking into the financial, investment, operational, and supply chain domains through which strategy is ultimately resourced and delivered.
